From equestrian camping to trout fishing, mountain biking to picnicking, South Mountains State Park offers a rugged terrain perfect for a number of activities. Rafting, hiking and golfing are all nearby. Within 30 minutes you can visit Mt. Airy, NC, birthplace of Actor Andy Griffith and the town that inspired the TV show “Mayberry”.
